I used the car for about 2 weeks and then filled the tank with gas about 1 week ago and now the vehicle is at about a half of tank of gas and the light came on again. Thanks and I will keep digging into it further. As far as I can tell the hose is connected. Could it be a bad tube or seal, bad vacuum hose, something in the charcoal canister, Vapor pressure sensor??? Put a new gas cap on. Was curious if this was the problem or if something else was the culprit.
You have to replace your Air Fuel Ratio Sensor, if you open the hood of your Lexus, it's the one towards the back. Someone said it may be the wrong size gas cap? The service manager at the dealership fixed the thing for free. Is it possible he got oil on the sensor. Charcoal canister cracked, holed or damaged. I disconnected the neg battery cable for 5-10 minutes and that worked like a charm.
I have opened the gas cap again and also noticed there isn't that swooch sound so it could possibly be something else in the evap system. Not sure what else to check? Vacuum hose cracks, holed blocked, damaged or disconnected. If you're mechanically inclined, you can tackle this repair yourself. You for the most part cannot lift the cover off the air cleaner very far if it is connected to the metal tube. Not sure what else to check? Tried to search for a common issue and the only one I have found was the air hose to the air cleaner. But they have different code.
The one I am referring to is connected to a metal tube that comes up along the fender well under the brake master cylinder and in front of the fire wall. From other post here, seems like it is cause by bad O2 senors. My girl friend had her oil changed again last week and last weekend I had to reconnect the hose. Germex Did you clear the codes? So you should chech it on our car models. I took it to an auto part store and they said the code is a P0446 and they dont carry the part so I need to go to the Lexus dealership. Yes I had the person at Auto Zone clear the codes and I put a new gas cap on. I am almost positive I have checked the correct hose. I just went out and checked the hose again. Put a new gas cap on. Do you know will that clear the codes and turn the check engine light off? The lean fuel mix error may be accompanied by rough idling, engine misfires, hesitation during acceleration and overall poor engine performance. Put some liquid wrench or wd40 on the sensor while it's hot. Can some one tell me how to fix this condition? Okay, thanks I will give it a try and see what happens.

Vacuum hose on the back of the air filter box was not replaced after the air filter was replaced. If the problem is not enough fuel, the culprit may be dirty injectors or fuel filters, a weak fuel pump or a leaky fuel pressure regulator. I just went out and checked the hose again.
